Title: Northern Long-Neck Turtle

Location: Anula Primary School, Darwin
This art work was a partnership between Joel Mitchell and Anula Primary School, whose symbol is the Northern Long Neck Turtle. It was carved in situ in the playground from African Mahogany, felled by Cyclone Marcus. Rich learning was embedded in the classroom as students engaged in the creative process from the beginning, watching the turtle come to life.
